Interlibrary Loan is a Library borrowing service available to CURRENT Texas State students and employees. ILL borrows items from other libraries that the Alkek Library does not own.
This service is free to CURRENTLY enrolled Texas State students and employees. Typical turnaround for a book is 2 weeks. Turnaround time for articles varies depending on format (hard copy or electronic) but averages 2 to 3 days.
You may pick up items at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor all hours the library is open.
Please return items to the Interlibrary Loan Book Drop located near the photocopy machines on the 2nd floor or to the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor.
The Interlibrary Loan office is located in Room 213 in Alkek Library and is open M-F 8a.m. to 5p.m.
This service is also offered through ILLiad, available to faculty who would like articles from our print journal collection sent to them electronically.
All students use the same ILLIAD interlibrary loan system. However, Round Rock Center (RRC) students - be sure to identify yourself as a RRC student in your ILLIAD account and on the request form. ILL items can be sent to RRC and to other distance learning students. Contact the RRC Librarian for additional assistance, 512.716.4700.
