Faculty can work with librarians to enhance student research skills in TRACS-supported courses. Our course embedded librarian program allows faculty members to tap librarian expertise for specific courses in all subject disciplines. If you add the librarian who teaches your class as a site collaborator they can add:
Our mission is to teach information literacy skills which are critical to academic success, enrich student learning in the classroom, enable efficient and effective research, and enhance the individual's ability to locate information for their academic, professional, and personal lives. Library instruction aims to be responsive to cultural, technological, and curricular change in the University, and to different levels of research skills in students, researchers, and scholars.
Instruction librarians strive for a collaborative relationship with University faculty and staff in this mission and are available to work with faculty to integrate information literacy concepts into course-related assignments that include information literacy objectives as well as offer instruction in various formats. Instruction librarians provide a learning environment incorporating teaching strategies that address individual differences in learning styles and levels.
