2nd Floor Reference Area

There are 70 Dell Optiplex GX745 computers and 12 HP 4350 Laser Printers available on on the 2nd floor of the Alkek Library in the Reference area. The computers are available on a first come, first serve basis. Users are required to login with their TXSTATE netID.  Limited software support is available in this area. Addtional specialty software and support is available in the 4th floor computer lab.

There are also 10 Public Access computers on the Alkek Library 2nd floor which do not require a TXSTATE netID for use. These stations are limited to Web browsing only and do not have MS Office.

1st Floor Lounge

There are 10 Dell Optiplex GX745 computers in the Student lounge on the Alkek Library 1st floor. Users must have a TXSTATE netID to logon. The computers only provide Internet Browsers and Microsoft Office. Printing is not available in the Student Lounge.

4th Floor Computer Lab

Several PC and Macintosh computers are available in the 4th floor Computer Lab. Users are required to sign-in to use these computers and there is a 2 hour limit. Additional speciality software is available on the 4th floor lab computers that is not available on the computers in the Reference area of Lounge.
