Website evaluation is slightly different than evaluating print resources. There are a couple of more aspects to consider.
The main points to consider when evaluating websites are:
- Accuracy
Is the information presented accurate (any obvious inaccuracies showing?) Can you reasonably trust the author and content of the page? - Authority
What are the author's credentials? What URL domain is it originating from? - Objectivity
Are there lots of advertising? Is the information presented in an objective way? - Currency
When was the page last updated? Are there dead links on the page? - Coverage
Do you have to pay to view information? Do you need special software to view the page?
