Location

The Special Collections and Archives is located on the fifth floor (room 580) of the Alkek Library in San Marcos, Texas.

Driving Directions

Google Map Directions to the Alkek Garage.

From the Alkek Parking Garage, enter the Alkek Library.
Take the elevators up to the fifth floor, turn right after exiting the elevator bank, and 580 will be the first door on your left.

Parking

Visitor Parking Request Form

There are six visitor parking spaces connected to the Alkek Parking Garage available on a first-come, first-serve basis. More information on navigating to those spaces is on the Alkek Directions and Parking page.
To park in any of the six spaces, visitors must submit a Visitor Parking Request Form at least at least 5-7 business days before visiting Alkek Library.
If the six parking spaces are full when you arrive at the Alkek Garage, you may park at the LBJ Student Center Pay-to-Park Garage instead. You must bring your parking pass to the Alkek Administration Office (Room 204) to validate your parking pass, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Please note that we do not reserve space for people with Texas State University (TXST) parking permits. The form is only used to capture invited visitors' vehicle information and to help off-campus guests avoid a citation.
