The Digital Collections Repository includes a variety of research and scholarly work including articles, academic posters, presentations, reviews, book chapters, reports, music, and artwork. The Repository serves to showcase all of the valuable research and scholarly output of our university community.
There is an easy-to-use web based process for submitting digital works to an established Collection. TXST faculty, staff, and other campus groups can submit their works to the appropriate Collection in the Digital Collections Repository. TXST students may submit items with authorization from a University faculty member. For authorization to submit to a Collection or to inquire about having the library manage or create a collection, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information on self-depositing materials is available in our First-time Users page. Individuals or groups on campus also have the option of selecting a library-managed approach, with library staff handling the submission process. For library-managed submissions, contact email@example.com.
The Digital Collections Repository accepts work in any digital format. Standard formats include: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, JPEG, AIFF, WAV, AVI, CSV
To ensure long-term preservation and access to digital resources, we encourage certain relatively stable formats. These formats exhibit all of many of the following characteristics: open documentation, support across a range of software platforms, wide adoption, no compression (or lossless compression), no embedded files or embedded programs/scripts, and non-proprietary format. The tables below list recommended file formats:
|Textual Formats||File Extensions|
