Simply put, Information Literacy (IL) encompasses the skills needed to effectively locate, evaluate, and use information resources. These are critical skills not only to apply to class coursework, and research in the library. An information literate student becomes an educated and informed citizen.
Alkek Librarians collaborate with both students and faculty to integrate IL concepts into class assignments and also through instruction classes. Most sessions take place in our teaching classroom, Alkek 101. However, we can also come to your classroom.
