3D Printing Lab

student watches 3D printer work

All objects printed on the 3D printers in Alkek need to comply with the University’s Copyright Policy, the Intellectual Property Policy, and the Appropriate Use of Information Resources Policy.

3D Printing services and equipment are available for faculty, staff and student use and can temporarily be found on the sixth floor of the Alkek Library. Beginning with the Spring 2020 semester, these printers and services will be part of the new MakerSpace being added to the first floor of the library. The lab is equipped with 3D scanners and printers and staff experts can assist with project needs.

Print jobs can be submitted via an online form. There are costs associated with materials for these jobs. For more information about costs, supported file types and other details related to 3D printing at Alkek, please visit the Division of IT 3D Printing information page.
